Meet Olena.M
Behind every arrangement at Arlen Flower is a pair of hands that have been working with flowers for nearly two decades and a mind trained in design long before the first stem was ever cut. Olena was born and raised in Ukraine. In 2002, she moved to Prague to study design, where she developed a strong understanding of colour, proportion, composition, and visual balance. That academic foundation would later shape everything she creates.
For Olena, flowers are not simply beautiful materials; they are a form of design, emotion, and personal expression. Her path to floristry began unexpectedly. After years of working professionally as a designer, a chance encounter in 2007 changed everything when she was asked to arrange flowers for an event. What began as a single afternoon became a calling. By 2008, floristry had become her full time craft.
Over the years that followed, she served as lead florist for several established studios before taking on the role of General Manager at a well known floral brand with multiple locations across the Czech Republic. There, she oversaw operations, led creative direction, and trained a new generation of florists.
Her Own Studio in Europe
In 2018, she founded her own studio in Prague, built on a simple idea: floral design should be personal, original, and grounded in real skill. It was.
A New Chapter in Canada
In 2023, Olena and her family moved to Canada. She spent her first two years working as a florist and learning the local market, how Canadians celebrate, grieve, and express love through flowers. She gained experience creating floral designs for a wide range of occasions, each shaped by its own traditions: celebrations rooted in Canadian culture or the customs of other communities, weddings, birthdays, romantic gestures, milestones, and moments of sympathy.
That patience was deliberate. In early 2026, she opened Arlen Flower as an online studio serving Langley and the surrounding communities.
Original by Nature
Olena doesn't follow trends and she doesn't copy. Every bouquet, every wedding installation, every sympathy arrangement begins as an original composition, shaped by the occasion, the client, deep knowledge, years of experience, and a refined understanding of visual culture.
Whether she is designing for a birthday, wedding, anniversary, romantic gesture, or sympathy, each piece is created with its own mood, colour story, and character.
Her formal training in design gives her work a structure that most florists lack. Her years of hands on experience keep it from ever feeling cold or calculated. The result is something you notice immediately: arrangements that feel both intentional and alive.

Olena believes that a beautiful arrangement should feel personal, not like something taken from a catalogue, but as if it was made for that specific person, moment, or occasion.

Handmade Jewellery
She is a Natural born Artist. Floristry isn't Olena's only craft. Her artistic abilities extend across many different forms, one of which is handmade jewellery.
She creates handmade beaded jewellery, including necklaces, bracelets, earrings, and complete sets, each woven by hand with its own colours, textures, and character. No two pieces are ever the same.
This means that if a customer would like a second exact version of a piece, identical to the original in every detail, it must be placed as a custom order. This is because only one of each item in our handmade jewellery collection is available, and no design or product is ever created in a quantity of two.
